The imposing figure of the young warrior-hero
The primary object of worship in the Yoshitsune Hall (Gikeido) is this wooden statue of Yoshitune himself, carved at the time of the hall's construction. The brave figure of the warrior Yoshitsune is carefully recreated in fine detail, and the methods used show evidence of techniques from an earlier age. The distinguishing characteristics of this statue are,

1. The head and helmet were created separately
2. The statue has hair
3. There is cloth over the armor

This statue of the young lord is imposing and lifelike.
